Greek God of Love & Desire

Parentage:
He is the son of Aphrodite and Ares, and the brother of Harmonia ("harmony"), the twins Phobos ("fear") and Deimos ("dread"), and Anteros ("love returned").

Consorts & Children:
Through the mortal Psyche, he is the father of Hedone ("pleasure"), the goddess of sensual pleasures.

Sacred Symbols:
His attributes are a bow and arrows, which can inspire feelings of either love or indifference.

Eros Around the World:
His Roman equivalent is Cupid, though he also has a Celtic counterpart named Aengus.
